About the Author
O. Henry (William Sydney Porter, 1862-1910) was an American short-story writer. In his writing, O. Henry was able to catch the color and movement of the city and showed a genuine sympathy for ordinary people. Some of his works include "Cabbages and Kings", "Roads of Destiny", and "Strictly Business" among many others.

good but....

I love O.Henry but this was not his best work.
It was cool to read his last and first stories.
I just don't get 1800s humor sometimes,

Early O Henry publications

This is a collection of early published writings and letters by O. Henry. The casual reader will not find in this book the well-polished short stories for which O. Henry is celebrated. This collection does however provide some insight for the interested reader into the development of his unique storytelling ability.
